I am making this post to ask for donations/boosts, for myself and my mother!
My mother is a Central BC Rez born and raised Secwépemc woman. Who ended up moving across Canada, from BC to Ontario all by herself at 16 years old. Mother has Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Rymothoid arthritis. And has had 3 strokes, and thus has brain damage and relies heavily on myself to take care of her needs.
Myself, I am a Half Secwépemc disabled gay woman!! In August 2016, I was diagnosed with having a SEVERE and AGGRESSIVE tumor, that required my entire jaw and left fibula to be removed, in MASSIVE 10 hour surgery that required two surgeons to work on me, at once. I also, have stage 3 CRPS, a degenerative disease, that is spreading through out my body, and making it harder and harder for me to walk and stand.
With the 215 Secwépemc children remains being found in BC, at the same residential school my family was sent awau to, my mother has had multiple break downs, where she’s being forced to proces her inherent intergenerational trauma.
Im looking for funds, to pay for myself, and my mothers medication, and food. As well as anything extra, we receive will be going into a savings account to pay for gas to and from for my therapy/my mothers grief counciling appointments
